Rampage Classic 2008

With summer comes vacation, gardens and yes, summer soccer tournaments. Weston played with his new team, Rampage, this past weekend. With a few players out for vacations and such Kaelton was able to guest play and the boys together with their teammates and coach, Chino, were able to bring home the 1st place medal. Wednesday night they won another Rampage team 3 to 2, Thursday they beat Wasatch Thunder 4 to 2, Friday they tied La Roca 3 to 3 and won strong against Wasatch Thunder 8 to 1! Tom got to see the game from a different angel, one that I think he will enjoy ~ sitting in a chair under a tree!

Congrats Wes and Kaelton.

Dinner in downtown with the boys

This Friday night, (July 11th), Tom and I spent the evening walking around Downtown looking at the painted horses with Colton & Garett. We ate dinner at The Union Grill and walked around the trains and read some history as well. The night was fabulous . . I recommond a stroll to see all the horses. There are some really creative ones. . . The Horsasarous was our favorite! The night was great-and if you are on a budget like us-very inexpensive; gotta love it baby!

"Look Mom! No more braces!"

Words? Who needs words with a picture like this? Wes is so excited to have his braces off. And so are mom and dad-his bill is paid in full-now we have to start saving for the other two's braces LOL (it never ends, does it?)

Yes, I love my orthodontist TODAY

Today, July 7th, Dr Rich took Wes's top braces off . . . . a day he thought would never come. His bottom one's will be on for a bit longer. He will pick up his "emerald" green retainer with the NIKE swoosh later in the week.

What is summer without Summer Squash?

Colton picked his first summer squash this past week. He called me at work and told me to get my steamer ready! :) I used it that night in a stir fry dish. His garden is looking great and we should be having lots more squash . . . I am sure there will be plenty to share; however I don't think we will share the tomatoes. LOL . . .

Pool Party at The Heil's

To celebrate the 4th of July we spent the day with Shane and Heidi & their kids. Shane and Heidi have put up their pool and the kids loved it. The weather was strange . . . sunny, windy, cloudy, hot but the day was great. The fireworks at Pioneer Park were amazing.

Ripping our Strip

We have decided to rip out the grass along our mow strip; therefore the boys helped Tom move the sprinkler line to the other side of the sidewalk. We are thinking of doing river rock and a couple of barrels with desert friendly plants. Will post complete pictures.

Sun Tattoo

What do you get when you lay in the sun for two hours with the NIKE swoosh on your chest? One heck of a sun burn. Once all the blisters popped, the peeling has all been peeled this is what is left. Weston is one heck of a trend setter, so he thinks. He actually got the idea from his friend, Ben, down at Summer Games this year.

Arrow of Light

Colton earned his Arrow of Light award in the Cub Scouts. The ceremony was a bit different. The Order of Arrow actually did the ceremony as well as awarded Colton his arrow. Congratulations Colton!

It's GREAT to be EIGHT

What: Garett's Baptism

Yep, my baby is eight and he chose to be baptized. Tom did the honors and the day was perfect. Kegan shared this day with Garett; Logan and Josh gave talks that were fabulous. After we all gathered at our house for RootBeer floats and just to hang out. The day was the best day ever according to Garett. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend and for those of you that missed it know that we missed you.

A day spent fishing is a GREAT day!

Tom & Dale took the boys fishing up at Causey Resevoir. The fishing was slow, the snags a plenty and the memories are forever. Garett's best friend Craig came along as did Craig's older brother Conner. The boys loved it and the dads, well lets just say they are ready to go again. . . without the boys.
