I took advantage of the beatiful scenery at K.C & Alicia's wedding and snapped a few photos of my handsome boys. Man, are they growing up fast or what? I love them all and they continue to amaze me everyday with their quick wit, their amazing talents, and most of all with their pure love for life. They truly are my gifts from heaven.

Our Three Sons
I took advantage of the beatiful scenery at K.C & Alicia's wedding and snapped a few photos of my handsome boys. Man, are they growing up fast or what? I love them all and they continue to amaze me everyday with their quick wit, their amazing talents, and most of all with their pure love for life. They truly are my gifts from heaven.
Lets Hear it for the SCOTS!
Garett has began his first season of playing Scots football. He has been starting at center and also playing defensive end. The Scots have not had a very great start they lost their first two games. It has been fun to watch but extremely frustrating at the same time. He is really enjoying it. Tom has volunteered to be the stats boy ~ you know the one who makes sure all the boys get at their 10 plays; I believe this little assignment has done him in and you will see him coaching next year. Garett's friend, Craig plays QB. Very fun!
And the Winner Is . . . ..
Once again Colton's garden produced some blue ribbon veggies. He took home a 1st place for his zucchini and cucumber and a 2nd place for his summer squash. He was very excited and he once again has made us all proud. His garden has done rather well we have been eating LOTS of steamed zucchini and squash and he has now discovered another use for the zucchini . . . he loves making it into Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread; YUM!
Fun at Low Tide
I have to say that one of the coolest things about this trip was spending time out in the ocean at low tide. It was amazing to me how far we could walk out before we hit water. The kids loved seeing all the sea life. Kaelton and Colton dug and dug for the clams; they were successful on a couple of occasions. Heidi brought home plenty of seaweed and seashells for her preschool. Finding all the little crabs and some not so little was fun. I don't think we could get enough of the ocean. Karver loved being able to throw rocks and rocks and rocks; did I mention that Karver likes to throw rocks? It was fun to watch him get so excited. At one time all the boys including Tom & Shane were all throwing rocks!
"Look a Baby Seal"
During one of the days of exploring we walked the beach (not by our condo) and we happened upon a baby seal laying nearly camouflaged against the rocks. We watched it for several minutes and the kids wondered who we should call. We asked a local at the dock and he said that the mom was near by she was just probably out fishing . . . we looked up and we could see her in the distance. The seal pup was very cute but we kept our distance.

Welcome to Birch Bay, WA
This year's Trendwest vacation took us to Birch Bay, WA. We stayed here for a few nights after K.C. & Alicia's wedding. Our condo was literally across the street from the ocean. We could sit out on our balcony and watch the waves and the kids playing at low tide and view some pretty awesome sunsets. Our condo and the Heil's condo was right next door. . . we had our own little corner ~ it was perfect. We picked fresh berries one day at Barbie's Farm. We then took the berries back to the condo and made fresh smoothies and shakes ~ Heidi even played Betty Crocker and made us fresh pie. Holy Cow that was awesome! We also took one day and drove to the Peace Arch Park and walked into Canada. The weather was cool and WET! I thought the flowers and grounds of the park were amazing, the kids on the other hand were bored out of their minds. This was a very relaxing vacation; spent lots of time in the pool/hot tub and just walking the beach ~ WE LOVED IT! Thanks for the memories Shane and family ~ can't wait til next time.

Surprise! We made it to Sedro Wolley, WA
After what seemed like an eternity we finally pulled into KC and Alicia's neighborhood. It was so great to see the family and to let the kids RUN. Shane pulled KC's mustang up there for him as a gift/suprise from dad and mom ~ you should have seen all the looks & thumbs up that were given as Shane pulled the Beautiful car. KC was shocked to say the least, ask Alicia how good the brakes are on their car :)
After we hung out for a bit ~ we left so that KC and Alicia could have one last night together as a family before the big day. Dad and mom took us all out for pizza. What a fabulous time!
I love my family ~
