Have your cake and eat it too

I have been asked to be on the Enrichment Night committee and our first Enrichment Night was a couple of weeks ago, our theme D.O.T.S (Dishing out the Service). All the decorations were "dots". So my assignment was to bring a double layered circle cake. I nodded and said no problem I will make mine pink. The whole way home I am thinking are your kidding you have never make a double layer cake and you don't even own a round cake pan. Breathe Shar everything will be fine you have a couple of weeks to figure this one out. I purchased two round cake pans, the cake mix and the frosting. Easy! Now what in the world do you put in the center? Thank goodness for the internet. I found a very simple (3 ingredient recipe). I was very excited that it turned out and even enjoyed the whole process. In fact, I am considering making another one . . .
