My blessings are beyond description. I married the love of my life on a beautiful summer day and we have been blessed with three healthy, handsome, active, intelligent boys. My guys are my life and they all keep me laughing and are my constant reminder of what is important . . . FaMiLy.
As all of you know this past season Weston made the Ben Lomond High School varsity soccer team. (and if you didn't know, shame one you) He PROUDLY wore the number 10 ~ but first let me back up and give you the whole story. It all started when his parents heard that the 9th graders were not going to be allowed to try out for the high school ~ why? Because Highland Jr High offered boys soccer so they could just play with them. O' no you don't. You don't tell the Leatherows NO. So Tom and I called the district, we called the high school and we were told the same thing ~ only if he can make the varsity squad can he play. So we told Weston to begin attending the conditioning sessions and just show them what you are made of. So he is conditioning with the team, beginning to get to know them and just having a great time. THEN .... durning a church b-ball game he strais his LCL in his left knee. The physical therapist tells him that he SHOULD be able to be back just in time for try-outs. With lots of determination Weston does get released by the doctor literally the weekend before tryouts. Well he makes the team and the team had a wonderful season. I am lucky enough to work for Bank of Utah and they are wonderful and I didn't miss a single game ~ I think Tom only had to miss one (maybe two). We are super proud of Weston and his accomplishment. He really proved that 9th grades can PLAY with the big boys. The team made it to the semi-finals (photos to follow) but were knocked out by the Wasatch Wasps. Thank you so all who supported Weston and cheered him on whethter at the field or not. Here's looking to next year . . .
Thank you for stopping by to follow me and my guys thru our many adventures. Feel free to comment and if you are in the area stop by for a visit ~ we would love to chat with you.
