Fall Sports ~ Leatherow Style

With the cooler weather comes Fall Sports ~ not the ones with a pigskin ball, shoulder pads or running shoes, we do however enjoy those but the true love of a Leatherow man is the sports that involves waking up at 3:00 AM, dressing head to toe in camo and heading to the march or the hills.  I am truly blessed to have married a man who loves the outdoors and has raised our sons to appreciate the beauty of the great outdoors.   As in years past the youth hunt is a day that the boys look forward to.  They literally don't sleep the night before much like the night before Christmas.  (both dad and sons)
They headed to the usual spot, and spent the morning.   The hunters included Garett, Kegan, Matt and Lindsey Chadwick and their guides were Tom, Dale, Colton, Justin and Justin's dad.  This was the first year that someone beat them to "their" spot!  No worries they simply set up shop a further down the marsh.

After all was said and done the young hunters were satisfied.
Garett was the lucky hunter ~ came home with the Jewelry

Colton was an amazing guide for Matt.  Tom beamed with pride when he retold me the days events.  He said it was hard at first to not have Wes with them but as the morning went on it got easier.  He kept reminding himself that 2 years will go by fast and then Wes will be out their guiding another young hunter along with Colton.

Congrats to all the youth hunters this day.  I pray the memories made in the marsh will stay with you and you will cherish them forever.  I pray that you will take the lessons taught by those older hunters and pass them onto your children.
