About Me

My photo
My blessings are beyond description. I married the love of my life on a beautiful summer day and we have been blessed with three healthy, handsome, active, intelligent boys. My guys are my life and they all keep me laughing and are my constant reminder of what is important . . . FaMiLy.

February ~

WOW February 2015 was a month of very mild weather.  We enjoyed many days in the 50s and 60s and very little snow.  The more eastern states are getting pounded with snow this winter.  I believe Boston will break 100 inches (if they haven't already)  The cold temps have closed schools, the government and many many businesses.  It is such a huge contrast to what we are experiencing here in Utah, the Greatest Snow on Earth state.
On Saturday, Feb 7th ~ we worked in yard and played with the puppies.  Tom and I took a long walk up on the foothills and truly enjoyed the sunshine.

I can't believe how big Miss Mia has gotten.  Shee loves to play fetch and RUN!  Miss Katie still rules the roost.  Our four legged family members truly complete our house.

Later in the evening we attended the adult session of our Stake Conference.  It was great to gather and to listen to the talks that were given.  My favorite part of the evening was listening to Debby Winterbottom give the opening prayer.  If you know Debby you know this is HUGE!  She doesn't give talks, she doesn't do lessons and I have never heard her pray in church.  She was super nervous but you know she did amazing.  I love and adore her and cherish our friendship.

Sunday, Feb 8th ~ we set our clocks to wake us up at 0' dark thirty as my boys would say.  We had the opportunity to attend a morning side at the tabernacle before our Sunday session of stake conference. Colton had been asked to conduct and Elder Carlson of the Seventy spoke to the youth of the Rock Cliff Stake.  I was simply amazed at the amount of youth that came out. The room was full and the adults were asked to step out in the foyer to make room for more.  Success!
Stake conference was delightful.  The sound was a bit off and where we were sitting it was very hard to hear and understand but to be in the newly renovated tabernacle with all so many wonderful brothers and sisters it was perfect.

After conference, Ali took a few minutes to capture some much needed updated photos of Mr. G Ray.  The one hanging in the living room is from about 3 years ago and he has simply grown up!
Thank you Ali for always capturing my boys!
 Then
Now
My advice to anyone who is following my blog and taking the time to read this ~ cherish your kids EVERY DAY!  remember to allow the house to get dusty, the laundry to pile up and the dishes to wait because your babies are only babies for a short time.  I can't imagine my life without my guys.

Valentine's Day 2015!  Once again I left little notes for the boys reminding them that they are loved.  I capped off the holiday with giving each of them a watch and letting them know I was very blessed to be with them for time and all eternity.  I really love doing this for my boys and they love it and look for their treats/gifts each day leading up to the day of love.  Tom is not one to fall victim to the Valentine's trick of the floral shops, Hallmark, and the jewelry stores. He says he doesn't need a day set aside to show his love.  TRUE!  and believe me he I have not had a day that he doesn't show me.  However, this year he did suprise with a gift and a very colorful one at that.  Check out my new …… yep shoes!  My man is hands down the BEST!!!!

Saturday, Feb 21st  ~ we traveled to Salt Lake City to watch Harley Hansen and the rest of the Fremont Girls Basketball team defend their state title again the Brighton Bengels.  The Silverwolves came up short this year but the game was close.  Harley was named co-MVP of the tournament.  Congrats to them.
After the game we stopped and grabbed a bite to eat at Taco Time and headed over to the Salt Palace Convention center to walk around the Sportsman Expo.  I really don't have words to describe the event ~ it was overwhelming at first.  My boys were simply in heaven.

G was able to have his picture taken with Jim from Wild West Alaska, a TV show on the Discovery Channel.

Tom has wanted to try to support each of our nieces and nephews in their various activites.  We have attended a dance comp., a football game, a wrestling match and now we can cross Jr Jazz basketball off our list.  We caught Liam's last game of the season.  Liam played hard and had a great time.

I hosted a LuLaRoe shirt open house.  I also had MissCessyB's earrings here.  I was in awe at the inventory that filled my living room.  If you have not tried a maxi skirt or dress you are missing out.  and the new leggings are so comfortable.   Thank you all who came out ~ I was able to receive two free skirts!  Success.

I also succeeded in making some homemade salsa that my whole family loved.  Thank you to Celeste for the recipe ~ I have decided I will have a bowl ready always in the fridge.  Yep, it is that good!
And that is our month!  Looking forward to March ~ will it come in like a lion or lamb????
