Date Night

Last weekend Weston took Kenzi to dinner and a movie. They ate at Costa Vida and saw the movie True Grit. Weston said the movie was good but that is about all I got . . . . I believe there was some tension during the night. Not to stress it worked itself out like most quarrels do. Seeing them date really makes me remember Tom and I dating in high school.
A lot of people ask me about Weston dating only one girl, about having a "steady" girlfriend at such a young age and wonder if it bothers me. Bother me? Not in the least bit. I just want him to LOVE the high school experience.
Tom and I began dating when we were in the 10th grade and I wouldn't change a thing. We still had our friends. He still excelled in his sports and I in student government. Sure we hung out A LOT toward the end of our senior year, we were pretty serious. In fact, I knew I would marry him. Tom will tell you he wanted to marry me but just wasn't as sure as I was.
So my advise to Weston is to enjoy being young. Strive for great grades, excel in sports, take time for you and the guys and always treat Kenzi with respect. I also want him to continue to aim for his mission and not to "put temptation into the equation". Tom and I are 100% supportive of him and Kenzi. They are fun to watch, they are fun to be around. Enjoy high school
