Early Morning Nature Ride

After we arrived back from our wonderful camp trip we decided to get up early one morning and take a ride up in Mantua. The wildflowers were in full bloom and vivid in color (the pictures do not due it justice) I want to add in a disclaimer real quick -- all the photos you are about to view were taken while I was on the back of the 4 wheeler. :)

With all the snow and wet spring the roads were really washed out in places...in fact at one point the passengers got off the bikes so the drivers could manuver the wash. Tom and Weston did it and made it look so easy.

Along the trail we found a HUGE mud hole. I believe this hole was probably 18 to 24 inches deep in places. Mud + boys = temptation too great.

Weston didn't get a chance to play in the mud this time but I am sure in future he will find his way in.

This is the view that I enjoyed riding behind my best friend.

and no ride would be complete without the a little wildlife ~ unfortunately we didn't find the four legged kind but we did find this lone duck.

and that is our ride in a nut shell ~ Colton was not able to go with us as he was at camp. Will catch him on the next ride.
I sure love my guys.
Love,
Me.
