About Me

My photo
My blessings are beyond description. I married the love of my life on a beautiful summer day and we have been blessed with three healthy, handsome, active, intelligent boys. My guys are my life and they all keep me laughing and are my constant reminder of what is important . . . FaMiLy.

New part time job = no more facial hair for Tom

With the bakery's new schedule, Sunday thru Wednesday, it give Tom Thursday thru Saturday off. He decided that maybe he would look for a part time job to help him fill his days. He heard that Big 5 Sports was looking for some help on Thursdays to unload their shipment. He went in to pick up an application and was literally interviewed on the spot. They asked him lots of interview questions, of course but before he left they asked him if he would be willing to shave off his goatee? Tom replied sure.
Big 5 called him later to come in for an official interview....he got the job. I was dreading the night when he had to shave. It seems weird for me to say that because years ago I would beg him to have his face be "naked". But now I love his goatee or as Katie Perry would say, " I love his beard" :)
Here are a few photos of the dreaded night.

I have to say that I shed a few tears to see it go. I think if Tom could have he would of cried as well. I feel awful that my husband has to take on a second job ~ we all say it is because he has so much free time but let's be honest can you really have too much free time? We just need a few extra dollars to make ends meet ~ I am sure we are not alone it just SUCKS!
.....the finished look.....
Say hello to my '70s porn star, inside joke because I of course did not watch porn in the '70s.
I love this man more than I can express in words. He ALWAYS puts his family first. He truly is the love of my life and a WONDERFUL father to his three sons. I love you Tom, with or without your goatee.
