Saturday, 4/7, I worked in the morning and the boys worked their tails off once again in the yard.
We celebrated Easter on Sunday, 4/8. This is a great time to stop and reflect on our lives and be thankful for all that we have. Be grateful for our Savior. After the Easter Bunny filled the baskets I snapped a photo.
On Monday evening (4/9) I went out to dinner with my bestest friends, Stacy and Pam. They took me to the Olive Garden in Riverdale for my birthday. We ALWAYS have such an amazing time when we get together. I love those girls and cherish our friendship. These ladies have been with me thru the births of my 3 boys, thru the trials of raising two sisters and they still love me. For that I will always be thankful. Tuesday, I traveled to Stansbury Park by myself to watch Weston and his team play some soccer. Here is just a quick tip when entering a destination into the GPS.....don't just see Stansbury Park and assume you are going to the high school cuz I ended up at Stansbury Elementary. Not to worry I found the high school. The team easily brought home the Win.
We interrupt this blog post to bring you.....Garett posing in his new lounge/practice attire
Thursday, (4/12) Dad and Jo took me and Tom out to dinner at Chili's for my birthday. It was an evening of great food and wonderful conversation. I really don't remember the last time I had dinner with my parents. They also gave me a Willow Tree figurine and a decorative plate. Thanks guys ~ I love you.
Friday, (4/13) yep, Friday the 13th! Weston and soccer team traveled a few miles south to take on cross town rivals Ogden. The boys played at the Lions Club park on 22nd Street. The game was tied at half time 1 to 1. OHS made some adjustments during half time and BLHS just couldn't counter adjust and we Lost the game 1 to 4. OUCH. Weston had an amazing game and I was super proud of him for playing with ALL his heart.

Saturday, (4/14) I once again needed to head into the office for a few hours. The boys hung out at home and did some more yard work. Colton fixed the dog's kennel from the incredible wind storm we had a few months back. Tom worked on the small patio/deck in front of our back shed. When I got home I expressed that I wanted to take down the front room blinds and Tom being the loving husband he is didn't even roll his eyes at me instead he simply stated let's do it. So we did. We took the vertical blinds down and hung up some curtains. I love the difference it makes in the room.
While we were all in O-Town, Weston traveled to Murray with his best bud Sterling to be extras in a movie ~ 12 Dogs of Christmas. As you can see he will be a basketball player....he said this was the best day he has had in quite some time.

WOW ~ that wraps up the past couple of weeks. It's crazy how fast time flies and how crazy busy our lives get. I have tried to force myself to take a few minutes to just breathe and remember what is important. My family, my health and my sanity. Stay tuned for the upcoming week ~
