Cross Town Rivals ~ BL vs Ogden

This year the Scots traveled South for the first meeting of the season with the Tigers.  This is THE biggest game of the season no matter the sport.  The turnout from the community and fans is fantastic.  Logan and Kegan made the trip and brought the couch.  The final score was not one that settles well for the Scots ….BL 0 Tigers 4…OUCH
Weston was also able to meet up with friends from Gremio.  Linda Vosburg found me but what she said was follow the yelling mom.  :)  That is OK I take great pride in cheering for my boys and their teammates.  The boys need to know we are there, that we are cheering for them from start to finish and they need to know I care.
The following photos are compliments of Standard Examiner.
Weston played with #7, Roque during his Gremio years

If you look closly at the above photo you can see the hint of a bloody leg.  Ogden's field was so hard and when Weston slid it ate his leg….

Ethan Vosburg (heading the ball) also played on Gremio

Victor also played on Gremio and is still a teammate and good friend

I love watching these boys and it is so fun to listen to the stories they share.  It is incredible to me how many of the players Weston knows from years past and from the many camps he attended when he was younger.  I cannot believe this is Weston's last year playing soccer.  It makes me sad to see this chapter of his life coming to an end.  But as we all know when one chapter ends pick up the pencil and write the next one and I know without a doubt that the next chapter that Weston writes will be spectacular. However, once a Scot aLwAyS a SCOT.
JV walked away from the field with a tie ~ a kiss from your sister as some say.

Here is a quick peek at his leg post game day

UPDATE:  The leg has healed and looks great ~ just a small scar but hey "chicks dig it"
