Pre-Season - Scots visit Fremont Silverwolves

The weather: COLD ~ The field: COLD ~ The friendships on the field: COLD for 90 minutes.  Weston was excited when the schedule was posted on Desert News and he saw that for pre-season he would get to play against his former teammates from Gremio and his friends from elementary school, Casey Taylor and Cayden Quayle.  The Scots were pumped!
I really don't know how to sum up the game; so I will try ~ ~ NOT PRETTY ~ ~ Cayden Quayle shut our Scots out.  Final score 4 to 0.

Weston had to literally run his guts out.  If anyone knows my Weston he DOESN'T ask to be sub'd out but during this game he did.  It literally was one of the scariest moments for this mom.  Let me explain it a bit.  Now in all fairness to Weston I am a bit dramatic so I am sure Weston will tell you it was "not" that bad but nonetheless here is my side of the story.  Weston had just made his billionth dead out sprint to catch the Silverwolves Secret Weapon AKA Jordan Prador (pictures to follow).  Once he had done what he could to defend and protect his goal and was able to catch his breath I could tell he wasn't feeling well.  In fact I believe I yelled to Jon Winterbottom I think Weston is going to faint.  Jon stopped my from running out on the field and yelled to Weston if he was OK.  Weston gave him the casual hand in the air and immediately asked to come off the field.  I could tell he wasn't "right".  He came off the field for a bit caught his breath and got his heart to slow down.  After the game he told me his heart felt like it was going to come out of his chest and he began to see stars and his surroundings were going black….he was going to pass out… a momma always knows her babies.

Colton had was able to play in the JV game and he looked great.  The JV didn't come home with a win either this afternoon but it is only pre-season.

Once the final whistle was blown and the hurt pride subsided the friends met up and chatted.  It was great to see old friends.  After the game Casey Taylor made my day with a comment about how loud I am on the sidelines and how he missed hearing me.

Enjoy some photos of the game compliments of Standard Examiner….
