Counting my Blessing

I really don't even know where to begin the counting.  The past couple of months have been a whirl wind of adventures for us.  I will TRY to sum it them up to the best of my ability.  As I type each new adventure I will fight back the tears knowing the biggest adventure of this family is on the very near horizon.
First we celebrated Easter and birthdays up at my parents house.

How can you not look at the carrot plastic ware and not smile.  Love it!

My mom, Joanne, always goes above and beyond to make everyone feel loved and special.  She is a very talented lady and I just adore my birthday gift.
She also made each grandchild that had a birthday these adorable candy sundae dishes.  This one was for Weston.
To celebrate Easter this year our family along with Shane and Heidi and their family minus Kaelton who was not able to get off work,  headed to the condos at Bear Lake.  It was a weekend full of fun, swimming, tennis and lots of food.  It is always great to spend time with family.
Tom and I took an early morning walk ~ BEAUTIFUL!

Each morning I snapped photos of the boys…for some reason I find it hilarious the boys however don't find it a laughing matter.
Weston ~ on the murphy bed
Sterling and G ~ took the queen bed…notice the pillow between them
Colton took the room with the two twins

Thanks to Heidi we also got to color Easter Eggs… you are NEVER too old to color eggs

Coloring eggs really wipes you out ~ you better take a quick power nap

The boys loved the white robes at the condos..it made them feel "legit"

Don't you love the intense look of a true March Madness fan?
Before we headed for home we stopped at the lake to allow the kids both young and old to throw rocks and try to break the ice.

Thank you to the Heil family for making our QUICK weekend getaway so fun.  I am so blessed to always be surrounded by family.  Family is truly one of my many blessing.  This is also Weston and Sterling's last Easter at home with family; next year they will be spending it with others.

Weston also turned in his mission papers and he has already received his call to serve our Father in Heaven.  He will labor in El Salvador, San Salvador East mission.  He reports to the Mexico MTC on July 24th.  We invited all his closest friends and family over for his "mission unveiling".  It was a huge blessing to our family to see all the support that Weston has and will continue to have over the course of the next 24 months.

Kaelton opened his letter a few weeks before Wes ~ he will be serving in Germany also leaving on July 24th
My boys also attended Jr Prom together.  Weston and Sterling asked two BFF's; they dressed up and danced for them…

The girls then sent the two on a scavenger hunt complete with finding Brutus covered in plastic wrap
Colton asked his date by delivering a beautiful plate of strawberries
and she answered him back from overing his room in TP

For the day activity the group met at Nicholas Sargent's home breakfast
They then headed to Morgan for some good ol' fashion paintball war

I completely enjoyed seeing my two boys in their tuxedos

Before the dance at Snowbasion the group and all the parents met back at the Sargent home for photos

We also finished up the soccer season.  Ben Lomond wrapped up 2nd place in our region we however lost in the first round of the playoff to Park City.  It was an extremely emotional night for our family.  It was the last time Weston will play as a Ben Lomond Scot, it was the last time both of my boys will play together and it was the last time I will cheer on Weston.  I will not tell a lie I shed enough tears for the entire team.  No pictures of this game ~ sorry.

I believe this is enough for this post.  As you can see I have so much to be thankful for.  I count my many blessing each and every day.  I am thankful for three healthy boys who surround themselves with all that is good.  I am thankful for a husband who loves me unconditionally and who is the prime example of how a man should treat a woman.  I am thankful for my siblings who have stood by me through all the ups and downs in my adventures thus far.  I am thankful for my knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel.  I am thankful for my eternal family.  Yep, I am counting my many many blessing.

Shar - congrats on the mission call. What an amazing experience he has ahead of him. Your entire family will be so blessed, no doubt. It was fun to read all the wonderful things your family is doing together.
