We arrived Friday evening and the temps were delightful compared to the high 90s back home we enjoyed the low 80s. We threw some pork chops on the BBQ, fried up some red potatoes and had us a delightful dinner.
Saturday we all slept in a bit…that was nice. I looked out the bedroom window and saw a doe laying on the edge of the lawn. The boys fished the river, played in the pond, made a new raft and of course watched a movie or two.
G found a cowboy hat
Everything was so green. It appears that Glendale had been receiving the much needed moisture.
Even during a small rain storm we couldn't make ourselves go inside. It was just beautiful
Tom and I took a few walks. He insisted that I pose for a photo because I am always behind the lens

Seriously this is HEAVEN on EARTH
Saturday late afternoon Blake, Tess and their kiddos joined us. Their family brings so much life to the party. I feel so blessed to have this cute family around. I love them all so much and they complete our family.
Our heart felt thanks to the Thomas family for letting us take advantage of the free weekend. Our family truly loves it and we have made many many memories that will last a lifetime. Our boys love to listen to the stories that Tom and Dale tell about their childhood days spent at Glendale. This is truly HEAVEN on EARTH
