Cowboys and Indians ~ Sadies 2014

The theme for Sadies this year at Ben Lomond was Cowboys and Indians, Colton of course asked his girlfriend, Darbie Smith to be his date.  She replied with a Yes.  Colton allowed his dad and I to cook for the group.  I was super super excited.  We kept with the theme and prepared a Dutch over dinner of BBQ'd chicken and cheesy pototoes, corn bread, beans and of course no Dutch oven meal is complete without the Peach Cobbler.  The 8 kids gathered around the table on the back patio.  It was so fun to have them over.  Colton gave me my birthday present early so that I could use it that night ~ I was super excited.  I truly am so spoiled.

It is a beautiful Mason Jar drink dispenser.  He also included 4 Mason jar mugs.  Doesn't it look wonderful.  Colton told me that the girls loved the idea and he finished his sentence with "you did good mom"  :)  Success.
In between dinner and dessert the kids headed over to Clearly Seen Photography to have their dance pictures taken.  Ali met them at the trail head above our house and worked her magic with her camera.  I love them and the lighting is perfect.

The kids returned to our home later for movies and to hang out.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of this dance and I pray that you will let me do it again and again and again.  I have said this so many times in previous posts but I LOVE my home to be full of family and friends and to know that my boys enjoy hanging out here means I have done something right.
