My blessings are beyond description. I married the love of my life on a beautiful summer day and we have been blessed with three healthy, handsome, active, intelligent boys. My guys are my life and they all keep me laughing and are my constant reminder of what is important . . . FaMiLy.

June 2015

June marks the beginning of summer vacation.  Long days, warm nights and FUN!  The Leatherows know how to have fun.  Whether we are enjoying countless family BBQs, scout camp, Eagle projects and of course some football.

Friday, June 5th, 2015  ~ Colton, Tom, Garett, and fellow scouts visited Grandpa Kevin for help designing and assembling a firewood shelter/lean-to for the stake scout camp.  This project was approved for Colton's Eagle Project.

Saturday, June 6th, 2015
The scouts delivered the finished project up at Camp Shawnee where they cemented it into place and added a coat of paint.
I now live with 3 Eagle Scouts ~ Tom, Wes, and Colton!  Congratulations Colton on finishing strong on this scouting journey that you began at the young age of 12.  I know there were times when you didn't want to finish it and you would roll your eyes at your dad and I when we would remind you of meeting and activities but I promise that you will NEVER regret earning your Eagle.  Love you!

Also on Saturday, June 6th, I enjoyed watching and Garett enjoyed participating in a 7 V 7 tournament at the Weber County Fairgrounds.  Garett enjoyed the day and as his mom I couldn't have been more proud.  He missed a few tackles but he had some amazing blocked passes and simply snapped the ball like a pro!  This makes me itchy for regular season!

I also enjoyed the very first tomato from our garden.  I simply cannot wait for our garden to begin to explode with these little red balls of sweetness.  They are truly what makes summer complete for me!

Our family visited the Rock Cliff 7th ward to enjoy Brycen Cluster's farewell talk.  He will be serving in the Scotland/Ireland mission and will report to the England MTC on June 25th!  Darbie went with us and when I walked down from getting ready we matched ~ POLKA DOTS!  Great minds think a like.

Garett and his team played in a scrimmage at Ogden High.  It was the two Ogden high schools along with Woods Cross.  It was a great morning of football.  Garett played center for the entire day and had a great all round performance.  I truly believe this young man of mine will be seeing some varsity time this upcoming school year.  So come out and get your football fix!  I will save a prime stadium seat for you.  Later that evening….
#PlaidNation ~ Ben Lomond Scots Football fundraiser dinner and auction.
We along with Dale, Eileen and Kyle enjoyed a dinner served by the football players.  It was a great night.  ~

I donated a Scentsy basket for the auction ~ it is the least I could do.  I mean all of these wonderful boys work hard on the field and their coaches give of their time and their families let them.  I know what it means to be a coaches wife.  Lots of sacrifices all the way around.

The night was a success.  I believe when all was said and done a total of $2,000 was raised specifically for the football program.  Good Luck on this upcoming season Garett ~ play hard, hit hard and always finish strong!  Know I will be one of the loudest fans in the stands!

Garett visited the foot doctor to have his ingrown toenail removed.  We visited a new doctor and are crossing our fingers that all is well and his toe will return to normal color and size.
Pre-removal  :) ~
Post-removal :)  ~ stay tuned

Happy Birthday to Colton William.  18 years of loving life!   Thank you for choosing us as your family.  You have grown so much in the last two years and I have truly enjoyed witnessing it from this view.  You are my friend, someone I trust, someone I look up to and someone that I know will always have my back.  I love you C-Bug ~ to the moon and back and then some more
and just like that June is complete and can be marked off as a complete success for this Leatherow clan.  We are looking forward to July ~ visiting the temple, welcoming home our missionary, high adventure camp, and family vacation(s).
