To start the month off ~ May Day, May 1st, Tom took G up to the Brigham City DLD where he took the written test and passed. He is now a permit driver. Which means he can only drive when Tom and I are sitting the front seat next to him. He is super excited!
One Sunday evening we as a family went for a walk in the foothills above our house. I simply LOVE where I live and enjoy walking on the trails above the house. Love the talks that take place and the dreams that are discussed. Love it
May 8th, 2015
Colton and Darbie attended their LAST high school dance. Ben Lomond's Prom. They looked stunning as usual. First the tradional pose with the family ~ check out my handsome guys!
and the fabulous couple!
Logan attended Prom with Darla who attends BL ~ fun for him and C to go to a dance together
Colton posed for a picture with me, his mom. Gosh I love this kid and I am going to miss him like crazy. Our relationship has seriously become one that I cherish. He is someone I look up to, someone I trust and someone that I am extremely proud of.
May 10th ~ Happy Mother's Day
Yep, we got to Skype with our wonderful Elder in El Salvador. He was doing great and he didn't stop smiling the entire hour we had him. It was a riot to listen to him and Ster make plans for when he gets home. I miss him terribly but know that the past two years have been such a blessing in our lifes and he has touched the lives of so many.
May 17th ~ Congratulation C ~ Seminary Graduation
We attended Seminary Graduation for C. it was fantastic. Our stake hosted the event and that kept Tom super busy leading up to the last minute. It was a fantastic evening and to see C with all his friends makes my heart happy. Darbie was attending her graduation this evening so we missed her.
May 18th ~ Congratulations Darbie and the class of 2015 Silverwolves
The three of us attended the graduation ceremony at the Dee Events Center. Tom was not able to get off work in time. It was amazing to see so many graduates. I think Darbie said there was around 620. WOWSA. I feel so blessed that my C has dated such a wonderul young woman. She has truly made my C a better person. She pushes him to do right, to be happy and to truly aim for the stars. I know for a fact that she is the answer to a moms prayer. Our family has grown to love and adore more and more each and every day. I wish her a nothing but the best in her future adventures. I hope that her adventures will keep her close and that she will continue to love our boy and us. On a side note as we entered the center the skies were getting dark with storm clouds and we had to park literally a couple blocks away (that huge parking lot was full!!!) Well you guessed it as we left the skies opened and G and I got soaked walking/running to the car. We laughed the whole way. It was a great night.
Even soaking wet, G looks great ~ me I look like a drowned rat!
May 19th ~ Congratulations Colton on your graduation day! I don't have words to express how proud I am of you! Your dad and I are simply amazed at all that you have accomplished and all that you will accomplish as your move forward on your next chapter.
We celebrated with Family and Friends on Saturday May 30th. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with Colton. We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful family and friends.
May was also a month that I experienced my first try at being crafty on my own. OK So I wasn't completely alone. Tom was with me every step of the way. I asked Dale if I could have two folding chairs so that I could paint them fun colors to add a personal touch to our front porch. Tom only rolled his eyes twice but he let me. You should stop by and visit. :)
