Day 2 of Vacation 2012

Day two brought many of the following quotes: "I am bored" "What are we going to do today?" "Can we go riding?" "Can we go fishing?" I am bored"
Yep, even on vacation we have to listen to that.  Day 2 we didn't dig into the adventures just yet.  We were still trying to figure out somewhat of a game plan.
Dale and Bryson visited our room while we tried to come up with some plans to stop the constant nagging of the kids.
And what is a visit from Dale without a wrestling match?

Yep, that is Weston taking him on.  Weston is now thinking of going out for wrestling this next year as a winter sport.
Who could resist these two?

Tom, Colton, and Garett along with Dale, Logan and Kegan did find a sporting goods shop to purchase fishing licenses and found a pond to fish.  Garett was they only one to catch a fish that day and won't you know it; my camera was back at the condo.  It was HUGE it was a fighter and Garett maintained his composure as he reeled in all 7 maybe 8 inches of the beast.  :)  But size didn't matter this day because he was the only one to catch something and if you all know Garett that is enough for bragging rights.  While the boys fished, Weston rode Tom's bike all over the mountain and looked at some amazing homes for sale in the area.  For a meer 1.6 million I could have my pick of several.  I chose to walk the River Park Way in Steamboat.  It was a nice walk and it was good to have some alone time and reflect on life the past couple of months.
Amber, Eileen and Bryson stayed back at the condo and just relaxed and let Bryson nap.
After the fishing was over the boys (the younger 4) wanted to head to the swimming pool.  Tom, Weston and I decided to take the short drive and then small hike to see Fish Creek Falls.

Later that evening we had some amazing grub....don't you just love how everything tastes soooo much better on vacation?  Colton manned the grill while Tom and Dale challenged Weston to a game of volley soccer.  Too funny.

As the sun went down we all walked over the traveling carnival that just happened to be in town for a fundraiser.  It was small but the kids still found a few rides to enjoy.  We did find one attracation that the entire group of us could enjoy.  There were a few in the group who were a bit skeptical at first but in the end we all enjoyed the 5 minutes of laughs at $3 a head.  OUCH.  $15 dollars for our family of five to enter the
Mystery of Mirrors
We entered the maze one by one.  We laughed so hard at times I literally thought I would pee myself.  It was the most fun to be had in 5 minutes.  I am hoping it was times like this that my boys will remember about family vacations.  Dad and Mom showing their fun side.

Once you reached the top the only way down was via slippery slide.  :)  Gosh I love being silly on vacations.  Down we all went one by one.

and that my friends is a wrap on day 2 in Steamboat Springs, CO
