What makes a Leatherow smile?

In one word…..HUNTING.  This is a true passion that my hubby has passed down to all of my boys.  The look of excitement they all still get on the night before they leave, it doesn't matter if it is going to the mountains or headed to the marsh.  They LOVE it.

This year Garett got his first deer.  It was a magical moment for both dad and son but the older brothers were equally as proud.

And they have all had a much success out in the marsh.  

This family will not go hungry.  You see my sons have also learned that if you shoot it you eat it.  They all enjoy duck stew, swan deep fried, I use the elk and deer in my chili, and am continually trying new recipes that we find.  I must admit I go meatless a few meals but that is ok.
