Our Trey Bear

This month we said our final good byes to our beloved Trey.  We knew this day was fast approaching. Friday, Dec 14th, Tom texted me that Trey was not doing so well and they we may have to put him down.  But by Saturday he was back to walking, tail a wagging and eating to we thought we were in the clear.   Sunday Dec 16th, when I went out to feed them he was coughing quite a bit, in fact, if he were a cat you would have thought he was trying to cough up a hair ball.  I rubbed his head and told him I hoped he wasn't catching a cold.  I then left for work and the boys headed out as well to take our truck to my dads.  When I arrived home from work, Kita our white lab was pacing in front of the back door.  I went to let her in and called for Trey but he didn't come so I walked out on the porch to find him laying perfectly still in his dog house. I called for Tom who quickly asked me to walk in the house.  I knew immediately we had lost our family pet of almost 15 years.  It was so hard to see him go but at the same time I now know he is not in pain, he can hear clearly and see the birds that fly.
RIP Trey Bear you are and will be missed.
