Look Mom, I am RUNNING!
After Weston's knee surgery, he began physical therapy up at BASICS located on the campus of WSU. He really enjoyed the staff and Tom and I especially felt confident in Carrie. She worked so well with Weston and really took his recovery to heart. She knew that soccer was his life and worked with him to get him there. One evening while he was there late, I walked in to find him running. I was so overwhelmed with emotion; should I clap, should I cry, should I hug Carrie? It was an awesome sight to see. Now I had seen him on the treadmill before but he was always wearing the harness ~ tonight it was just him and the treadmill. From this night on I knew Weston was well on his way to making the soccer team again this year. I will not lie ~ I will ALWAYS worry when he is on the field, running all out or going at it in the corner with the opposing team; but he has truly had the best of the best get him back on the field. Thank you to Carrie and to the staff at BASICS!
